The format/MKV video container, which in recent times is becoming increasingly common, has several advantages over AVI format, but sometimes it can be done with it for simple tasks, since not many programs are able to support it (especially if the audio is in AAC format and video X264).For example, if we want to separate all the tracks (audio, video and subtitles), we could use the blueprint for the MKV, MKV Toolnix, however. There is another program that can do this with even greater simplicity: MKV Extract GUI (among other things is also open source).
Just run it, load any MKV file and in a moment we can extract all the tracks you want by simply pressing a button.
