Vob Blanker is one of very few open source programs that can change the VOB. Why unable to work, you need the DVD is decrypted on the hard drive in File mode: then need to load the VIDEO_TS.IFO file that was extracted along with the VOB from the DVD.No installation required, and this is a plus because you can try without conflicting with other programs that may be installed.
It can produce substantial results with VOB: can be cut (for example, can be divided into two DVD 9, or you can possibly remove the advertising), you may exclude certain audio tracks, you can change the menu (for example by changing those animated static to save space). You can even add new menus, and other features of the genre.
Unfortunately all this is a major obstacle: VobBlanker is anything but an intuitive program. If you think you can do something without reading any guide (the English-speaking guide is on the website indicated below), you astray. An experienced user may well be able to make good use of this program with some effort (and reading the guide). A novice user in terms of video editing, however, difficult to go far, unless you spend considerable time and effort using this program.
Unfortunately, if you want to change any of the VOB, for example to cut advertising, software fee as VideoReDo Plus is very (but very) simple.
