Audacity audio editor is a completely free. It lets you record, import and export audio files in any format (WAV, AIFF, MP3 and many others).And possible to use Audacity to edit your own sound effects or your own music, make cuts, mix tracks, or apply special effects.
It offers many tools for frequency analysis, to eliminate noise on the bass boost and more. Its main advantage is that it is even completely free.
Requires the use LAME encoder.
Although the program is in English, the reference site and much of the documentation is in Italian.
