Oubliette 1.9.5

Many are, nowadays, it is necessary to remember the password (such as those for e-mail, access your online banking, and other Internet services and so on ...). How-to remember them all effortlessly protect you, but at the same time, from prying eyes?
We have selected three free software that can store all your passwords while avoiding those that might fall into the hands of thieves. This is achieved through the use of cryptographic algorithms that allow access to its archive password only and exclusively by the owner.

Oubliette is a free program that aims to keep your password preventing access to unauthorized users. As soon as starts for the first time, Oubliette asked to create a new archive. The name of the password policies that you want to put it in the File field and in the Comments box you can specify a description for the contents of the archive itself. To protect the archive is therefore necessary to specify a password (passphrase) that will be used by the program to encrypt all data using the Blowfish or Idea. Our recommendation is always the same: Do not choose trivial passwords and never too short. Opt instead for the more complex password containing, perhaps, also alphanumeric characters and symbols.

After you create your archive, which will be stored in your various passwords, access the Accounts menu, Add Account to add data, for example, to your email account or those required for access to a reliable Internet service.

Keywallet

Allows both to manage passwords that fill some of the modules that meet on the Internet (which are applied to the various information such as name, etc.).. Among the various functions, Keywallet also allows the automatic generation of passwords.

It a fairly good program, but we must consider that it is entirely in English and must be configured to work (that should lose a few minutes and understand what we're doing, otherwise uninstall it almost immediately). Overall it is interesting, however, is in a category where there are much more intuitive programs like KeePass, or more complete and powerful, like Cute Password Manager.

Cute Password Manager

It's a program that manages passwords, fill forms (modules) are online, the style of the famous AI Roboform. If you want to use for its most popular function, the automatic compilation of online forms, for example when you need to enter user IDs, passwords, emails, addresses, telephone number... in short, all those pages in which to register should fill a lot of data, we need two things: Maxthon or Internet Explorer browser (no Opera or Firefox, unfortunately), and a little patience to follow the tutorial to learn how to use it the first few times, since it is not easy or intuitive. Follow the tutorials that show it is absolutely necessary, otherwise you will not even install it.

It can also manage passwords, but this feature is KeePass which I believe is superior.

AI Roboform is less than easy to use (not that Roboform is easy), does not work with Firefox, however, has the advantage of being completely free (and incidentally, currently has competing in the function-free programs to fill the MODL online, at least to my knowledge).

Cute Password Manager

KeePass

It's a really good program for managing passwords. Open Source, save your passwords in an encrypted database, and especially does not need installation and can be exported everywhere (on floppy, cd, dvd, etc..) So that if one day we are going to use another computer, we all our password ready for use.

Unlike Roboform does not fill forms and passwords automatically on IE (or if it does, we must instruct us to do and it takes a few minutes to setup), its job is to save all your passwords in a secure environment (and where necessary to suggest new ones), ready to be used when needed, in this or other computers (as always in such cases, if you want the version that is installed, you must download the zip and the exe version).

Password Keeper

It's a good program for managing passwords, usable free even for commercial purposes. It very similar to KeePass (currently my favorite in this category), but, in my opinion-less Intute latter. Password Keeper can also create groups and categories, to group together similar passwords. It can also copy the values of a field (user ID or passwords, etc..), with a single mouse click, or write brief notes for each field.

The password database is protected by one master password (Master Password) is encrypted by a key encryption algorithms (AES, Twofish), user selectable.

It has many interesting features, but my preference in this field remains to KeePass.

License Crawler, Recover password

If we have to reinstall the operating system application software (or switch to a newer operating system), there will surely codes and licensing of any paid programs we installed.
To do so, or we look for manuals, email account, floppy disks, which are marked on these license codes, or use a program that can automatically search on our computer, and save a plain text file (so that can copy and paste the new system).
The program does for us is therefore License Crawler, lightweight (about 70 kb), portable and fully automatically. Just click Start Search, and will act alone, through a scan of our record, check the serial numbers of installed programs. Then simply select SAVE from the menu and store them in a text file.
Is usually able to find some serial more than the competitor SoftKey Revealer.

License Crawler

SoftKey Revealer and GameKey Revealer

There are two simple programs that deal with password recovery applications and games (if GameKey Revealer) that are installed on our system. The password recovery can then be exported in a single Word document.
SoftKey Revealer GameKey and thus become useful when you must change your computer (or just reinstall the operating system), because we all passwords recovery and serial numbers of our programs and our games.
Both are portable (no installation required). If SoftKey Revealer was not able to find some program, I suggest the alternative License Crawler.

Cain & Abel, complex password recovery

It a very advanced program in English and complex password recovery (especially on different networks or connections, but also for those covered by asterisks in our computers) very powerful. The use is not the most immediate, because the large number of menus and options (for every type of password management is a different function).
Findings difficult ... Cain and Abel on the one hand is very powerful (I would say exceptional), and certain things did not equal even the best paid programs (especially when it comes to networks or connections), second in some cases is quite complex to retrieve old forgotten passwords, and it is not immediately (you must dedicate time to understand). Very often, before giving up to find a password, you must stop and study the program, because you have not used the right function.
In other words, a program of great value, but not (too) suitable for the average user.
NOTE: Some antivirus report as computer virus. Obviously not a computer virus, is a program that can recover all types of passwords. If you use it on your computer is perfectly legitimate, if they use others without your knowledge ... here is the antivirus I'll report ...
