WeatherMate, Free program to have the world weather

Excellent program that allows completely free to have the world weather on our desktop (there are rib cities around the world, including several dozen Italian). You can set to have a short or detailed estimates of the current day or entire week (shown on a daily basis).
The graphics are colorful and very beautiful, you pick a city (or nearest city in our area), we have a series of simple information but also detailed information (weather, minimum and maximum temperatures, actual temperature and apparent temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed and direction, visibility, etc.).
Unfortunately it is only in English, though it is simple enough for everyone, because once set, are always those terms.

Stellarium, Stellarium review can show the sky

It's a great open source program that can show the sky high, with information on about 120000 stars (including constellations, planets, etc.).. Shows a realistic sky in 3D perspective, simulating the visual to the naked eye, binoculars or telescope. It can see the sky is the atmosphere that without (the visual atmosphere is nice, but if you want to see the stars you may need to disable it), and have information about distant stars (magnitude, distance, category, spectral) simply clicking on them. The zoom allows you to go see the selected celestial body as if you were using a telescope.

Very very nice.

Celestia, for viewing celestial satellite maps

It's another good open source program for viewing celestial satellite maps. Compared to Stellarium is perhaps better suited to older computers, and more plugins, scaribili site separately (the graphics are good, but not equal to Stellarium). Again, clicking on the various stars of the sky you will get useful information on the same (magnitude, spectral type, etc.)..

Marble, City Maps and Territories

Very nice program to see maps of the Earth view (and Moon and Mars). It as a kind of gigantic world atlas (road and not only). Clicking on any of the places in the map, you are also automatically sent to the corresponding Wikipedia article (if available).
And can display a world map both daytime and night (as the night vision is less detailed than in daylight), and turn the earth with the mouse. Clicking the right mouse button, you can measure the distance between two points.
And essential connection to the Internet, since many data are downloaded online gradually, depending on our use (such as the Wikipedia information).
Marble is not even particularly hard for what he does, so it should run quite well on a computer not very recently.

MiPony, Download Manager One-Click-Hoster

It a download manager freeware for sites like MegaUpload and Rapidshare, One-Click-Hoster, the type of JDownloader. The GUI is quite good, and how the program is quite intuitive (it is just paste the link to the various downloads and click CheckAll).
Once the links have been verified by MiPony, downloading will start automatically. There will need to enter the password management that usually these sites require.
If there is to wait a few minutes (as usually happens when you download multiple files from the same Hoster) MiPony will start downloading automatically when it's time (just like other such programs) without intervention or more clicks by the user.
Compared to competitor JDownloader, MiPony is lighter (from GUI), while JDownloader is perhaps the most frequently updated time (still need to see how things go with the passage of time, to give a final decision).
