Here is a system of program files that will permit you to safely experiment with new software without fear of corrupting the windows Registry. The Registry is a data base of essential information for applications and the Operating System. Some programs that you trial may import values into the Registry that overwrite the original settings. Even if the programs are uninstalled, it can still be impossible to get the Registry back to original.
