Atlantis Nova 1.0.0.68 (last freeware version) is a word processor that has quite a bunch of useful features and have the wide support for MS Word files. This reminds one of Word, surely - same toolbars that became a de-facto standard really a while ago, almost the same working field with rulers etc. Of course, as the editor can only read DOC file formats and can save documents in rich or plain text files, it will never substitute MS Word. But in small features, people who make you work with easy documents, Atlantis Nova surpasses its Microsoft prototype. Are many from toolbars so you don't have to choose items from the pull-down menu: you're always simple click go away from making your text in subscript or, for example, capitalizing a text.
